One of the reasons that makes these type of burial memorials especially unique is their ability to not only provide a marine sanctuary for our loved one but their ability to solicit the company of all sorts of marine life.  Abalone, octopus, and urchin are a but a few that may take refuge nearby or within the reef memorial.  Those species will in turn draw in other larger species like dolphins, whales, sea otter, and seals, which will eventually create a veritable utopia of marine life.  An impact and benefit that any person of the sea would be proud to help foster and enjoy.
